Hosting a party at Throw Clay Studio promises a unique and memorable experience for everyone.

Whether celebrating a birthday, bridal shower, or just a creative get-together with people you never seem to get to spend time with, the studio provides an engaging backdrop for artistic festivities.

Suitable for young and old, family and friends, participants can try their hand at wheel throwing or hand building or both (depending on numbers), creating personalized ceramic pieces that serve as both mementos and expressions of individual creativity.

The hands-on nature of the pottery process encourages laughter, collaboration, and a shared sense of accomplishment.

Our teachers will guide the group through their creative journey, making the experience enjoyable and accessible for all skill levels.

Everyone is encouraged to make as many pots as they like and then choose the one that sparks joy for them. Our team of staff will then trim, bisque fire, glaze and fire again over the coming weeks. About 2 to 3 weeks after the event, your creations are ready to be collected and enjoyed as a tangible and lasting reminder of the joy and camaraderie shared.

Emotionally attached to all your pots? Not a problem. Extra pots are just $15, payable on the day (payment can be by cash, direct bank deposit or EFTPOS). This covers all the trimming, glazing and firing.

Some important details

• Private parties are for 2 hours. Extra time can be arranged if necessary.
• Private parties need to be paid in full no later than 48 hours before the event.
• Suitable for ages 7 and up (younger participants can be accommodated. Please chat with us if your are interested in this).
• The minimum booking includes 6 participants. Extra participants are welcome at $70 per head.
• We have 10 gorgeous Rohde wheels so groups larger than this will need to be slip into 2 with half hand-building and the other half throwing. Participants can switch halfway through the party.
• A second teacher will be provided for groups larger than 10 so everyone gets the attention they need.
