Hand-building and Decorating Masterclass with Allison Mueller

Join us for a fun 3-day masterclass where you'll dive into creating cool functional or decorative ceramics using a variety of hand building techniques and explore a myriad of decoration methods to really elevate your pottery game. 

With years of experience in interior design, publishing and styling, and an innate sense of style and design to boot, Allison will help you discover and refine your own personal flare and aesthetic and give you the skills to make your pieces truly spark joy in you.

In this comprehensive course you'll be busy covering awesome techniques like drape and slump moulding, coiling, slab joining as well as mono printing, sgraffito, underglaze slip trailing and stenciling. You’ll also make test tiles to take home as a handy reference for your ceramics practice.  

Everything you need is provided, but feel free to bring along any inspiration you have whether it's Pinterest boards, patterns, or anything else that sparks your creativity. The class includes 4 standard sized pieces as well as your test tiles, but more pieces can be purchased for an extra fee should your heart desire.

At the end of the course, your works will be bisque and then glaze fired and will be ready for pick-up after the 14th of October.
